Service Improvement Marketing Business of Healthcare (Including Commissioning) Study Tours

Our Programme – Study Tours

NHS Elect regularly organises study trips abroad to see a foreign healthcare system in action and transfer good practice back to the NHS.

Past trips have included:

Germany - Berlin - September 2008

This trip visited specific healthcare facilities that demonstrated excellence in the delivery of elective and emergency care, showing innovation in processes and procedures and reducing the boundaries between primary and secondary care. In addition, the group sought to gain an overview of the German healthcare system with a particular focus on looking at the polyclinic model of care as highlighted by Lord Darzi in his recent reviews.
