Case Study: 18 week performance management for Bexley PCT

Using the acute services contract we are developing, in conjunction with Bexley PCT, a total system solution for sustainable low wait health economy incorporate using the contract to deliver 18 weeks in most cost effective way.

This is being done through a patient booking service to strengthen market behaviour by giving patients better information about provider waiting times and easier ways to choose between service providers.

We are linking innovative GPs in community and elsewhere in the network to introduce efficient patient pathways which deliver care at the most appropriate part of the pathway.

We are also using the marketing capabilities of Elect to engender support and active cooperation of GPs and patients.
