Case Study: Procurement Landscape Training for PCTs
With one of our members, we interviewed their commissioning team and designed a series of interactive workshops to increase knowledge and skills in emerging commissioning practice based on the commissioning competencies.
This included:
- An overview of procurement options in the NHS – covering when services should be tendered, and the legal requirements
- Technicalities of procurement – a start to finish plan for specifying and procuring a service
- Provider management – how to make the best of current relationships and improve services through the SLAs the PCT already holds
